We shot footwear product photography for Portland agency Fligthdeck to be utilized in an upcoming campaign for a Converse + Minions collab. Samples were captured using true-to-life color calibration with the intent to later be incorporated into animations + imagery with Minions characters designed by Illumination.
The product photography captured by our Portland team was posted to both the Converse and Minions Instagram accounts with the layout designs by FlightDeck and characters by Illumination.

As with most of our studio work, the footwear product photography was captured using a 100mp medium-format sensor in focal batches that were then later stacked to maximize sharpness across the large sensor. Styling and positioning was done onsite to allow for the largest variety of options for the animation and design teams to have more material to work with, and a lace library was photographed to be composited over the photos as needed.

It's an honor to work with a Nike heritage brand like Converse, especially on such a fun crossover project with Minions. In a field where product photography is usually delivered and utilized as-is, seeing several teams take the completed assets and add their creative flair to them across video/animation, in-store signage and installations, digital ads and social media content - it really goes to show just how valuable proper product photography can be for a brand. We hope to continue being an agency parter to produce photo content with Flightdeck, as their team was a breeze to work with - and we highly recommend them for their experience and professionalism. Reach out today to see how we can help bring your brand to a multi-medium campaign through product photography.
